Responsibilities

Work on a wide range of structural engineering analysis and design projects involving steel, concrete, masonry and wood structures
Implement design or analysis tasks using a variety of building codes
Assist in the preparation of drawings, specifications, and reports
Execute the construction-administration phase of projects, including bid assistance, submittal review, site meetings, observations of completed work, etc
Plan and conduct site investigations to document existing conditions
Help mentor and develop less experienced engineers
Interact with project clients
Support proposal development, project scoping, and coordination of internal resources to meet project deadlines and budgets
Pursue professional activities to gain professional recognition

Required

Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural analysis and design of concrete, steel, masonry, and wood frame structures
Proficiency with behavior and performance of materials
MS in Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
PE license; progress toward SE licensure or interest in obtaining it is a plus
Strong working knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, ACI, TMS, NDS, and other applicable standards and codes
Proficiency in structural analysis and design tools such as RAM, RISA, ETABS, SAP2000, and Revit
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
A proactive, team-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Willingness and ability to travel to remote job sites not accessible by public transportation, and if applicable, an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report
