Responsibilities
Manage and develop a high-performing team through effective hiring, coaching, and employee engagement initiatives
Drive continuous improvement by analyzing KPIs and optimizing business processes for safety, efficiency, and compliance
Lead daily labor planning and sort operations in coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution
Promote a strong safety culture with a focus on dock safety, lockout/tagout procedures, and overall compliance
Collaborate with Contracted Service Providers to monitor performance, resolve issues, and ensure service alignment
Maintain a strong on-floor presence to support operational readiness and team engagement
Qualification
Required
GED/Diploma required; college degree preferred
Four years of experience in logistics and/or transportation or can be less if a college degree
A minimum of 3 years of experience managing people, 1 of which is in a similar industry
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office and mathematical skills
Effective communication skills including the ability to give honest, constructive feedback
