Control Systems Engineer

Responsibilities
Review and agree control and monitoring system requirements including their testability
Design and implement control and monitoring systems to meet the customer requirements and associated standards
Analyses the control and monitoring system functional behavior, which may include modelling and simulation, to demonstrate that the design meets the requirements
Liaises with other engineering disciplines, suppliers, customers, and operators to understand the full system and its use to facilitate effective control system design
Methodically troubleshoot software and hardware control system issues and be able to clearly communicate corrective actions in a timely manner
Produce clear and concise reports where required to document the work carried out
Prepare presentations and present technical material to a variety of engineering and non-engineering audiences
Able to travel both domestically and internationally up to 10%
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or Computer Science with 1+ years of systems engineering experience, OR
Master's Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering, OR
PhD in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical or Computer Engineering
In order to be eligible for consideration, you must be a U.S. Citizen
Preferred
2+ years of controls systems experience
Knowledge of gas turbine engines, generators, and the control of these systems
Proficient in design and analysis tools, such as Matlab, Simulink, JMP, etc
Knowledge and experience with Root Cause Analysis and other problem-solving techniques
Highly self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to manage tasks to completion ensuring that the relevant areas of the business are appropriately informed
Comfortable working within a team-oriented, collaborative environment or as a sole contributor on identified projects
