Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain efficient data models and architectures for enterprise use
Develop, optimize, and maintain data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and storage across on-premises and cloud environments
Participate in modernization efforts, including transitioning from legacy ETL solutions to cloud-based frameworks
Collaborate with IT, data science, and business intelligence teams to align data solutions with business objectives
Implement and optimize ETL/ELT processes to integrate data from diverse sources (API, XML, JSON, Parquet, etc.)
Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all platforms and pipelines
Create and maintain documentation for data models, architecture, and ETL processes
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
3–5 years of experience in data engineering or related field
Preferred
Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational and non-relational databases
Hands-on experience with modern data engineering tools and cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
Familiarity with ETL tools and frameworks; experience with Databricks, Fivetran, and Azure Data Factory is highly desirable
Knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and data governance best practices
Experience with programming languages such as Python or Scala
Understanding of version control (Git) and Agile principles
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams
