Clerical Aide
Michigan State University College of Engineering is seeking a Clerical Aide to provide clerical support in the Human Resources Solutions Center. The role involves managing front desk operations, assisting customers, and ensuring a positive experience for visitors while adhering to fully onsite work requirements.

Responsibilities
Manage front desk and reception operations by professionally welcoming and assisting all visitors, handling deliveries, forms, and payments, and creating a friendly, service-oriented environment
Serve as the first point of contact for walk-in customers, identifying needs, coordinating referrals to appropriate HR or Benefits staff, and managing routine drop-in requests such as password resets, earnings statement access, job searches, and retirement materials
Accurately document customer interactions and escalate complex inquiries to the appropriate teams to ensure timely and effective resolution. Process and manage administrative documents by accepting, date-stamping, filing, and accurately organizing forms
Assist customers with form-related questions and refer them to appropriate teams as needed
Handle checks and invoices for Benefits Administration by securely date-stamping, sealing, and issuing receipt copies, and escalate payment-related inquiries when necessary
Support communication by routing messages and notifying staff and provide basic guidance for employee concerns
Qualification
Required
Provides clerical support
Responsibilities may include secretarial, receptionist, bookkeeping, information processing or related clerical tasks
Join the MSU Human Resources Solutions Center and help deliver service excellence to faculty, staff, and retirees
Provide high-quality support while shaping a positive HR experience
Interact positively with customers as the front counter support for all visitors to HR
Serve as the gateway to guests' memorable experiences
