Responsibilities
Manage and maintain plant wide power distribution systems up to 345kV
Oversee substation equipment, switchgear, transformers, and protective relays
Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures for all electrical power assets
Provide daily engineering support to plant electricians and maintenance teams
Lead capital projects, including major transformer replacements and construction modifications
Plan and organize electrical shutdowns and coordinate cross functional resources
Interview, train, and guide electrical maintenance personnel
Participate in safety initiatives and drive continuous improvement within the department
Serve as project engineer on electrical upgrades and infrastructure expansions
Remain flexible and adaptable in a dynamic environment where priorities shift quickly
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
Strong understanding of HV/MV power systems, transformer maintenance, switchgear, and protective relaying
Experience supporting electricians, maintenance crews, or plant power distribution
Proven ability to collaborate with multiple departments and manage competing priorities
