Art Director – Dunkin’ - Maverick Studios

Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day visual direction, guiding and mentoring a team of talented designers to deliver impactful, Dunkin’ on-brand visuals
Uphold and evolve brand standards, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints while fostering fresh, compelling ideas
Lead the visual direction for Dunkin’s owned digital channels, ensuring consistency across all assets
Translate campaign concepts into compelling designs for app, web, loyalty programs and email experiences
Review and approve design work for accuracy, brand compliance, and creative excellence
Partner with Technical QA to ensure assets render correctly across devices and platforms
Stay ahead of digital design trends and apply best practices to enhance Dunkin’s user experience
Collaborate closely with Creative Directors, Copywriters, and Project Managers to align creative with strategy and timelines
Partner with Creative Directors and cross-functional teams to concept, present, and execute innovative campaigns
Translate complex business needs into visually engaging solutions that resonate with diverse audiences
Assign, review, and approve creative work while maintaining deadlines and high quality standards
Stay ahead of trends, refining workflow processes and contributing to the studio’s creative evolution
Identify and champion opportunities to responsibly integrate AI tools (e.g., for concept exploration, asset generation, workflow automation) to accelerate creative processes, enhance quality, and free up the team for higher-value creative thinking—always maintaining human oversight and brand standards
Ensure all AI-assisted creative work complies with Maverick Studios’ and Inspire Brands’ policies, privacy requirements, and legal/compliance guardrails; maintain originality, brand safety, and proper attribution for all outputs
Qualification
Required
4+ years in creative leadership roles at agencies or in-house teams, with a strong background across digital, print, and social platforms
Proven success managing multi-disciplinary projects for large national or global brands
Mastery of media from print to digital to experiential. Your portfolio is a testament to your creativity and adaptability
You're a mentor and motivator who brings out the best in your team, fostering growth and excellence
You don't just create; you craft visual solutions that align with business goals and brand strategies
Intimate knowledge of industry-standard software and tools (Figma and Adobe CC), plus a passion for staying on the cutting edge
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills make you a key partner for clients, colleagues, and stakeholders alike
Demonstrated ability to evaluate and use AI tools ethically and effectively, understanding their limitations, safeguarding confidential information, and ensuring human authorship and accountability
Growth mindset with a passion for exploring new creative technologies and methodologies; quickly translates learnings into practical improvements for team workflows and creative quality
Bachelor's degree or equivalent Graphic Design/Strategy/Art/Advertising degree combined with a promising portfolio of work, appropriate for the level of experience and opportunity one has had to date in this field
Preferred
Knowledge of email/app customization platforms like Moengage and Moveable Ink a plus
