Accounting Department Manager
TQI Solutions, Inc. is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business providing Mission and IT Support Services to a wide range of DoD clients. They are currently seeking an Accounting Department Manager to oversee the company’s accounting operations, ensure compliance with GAAP, and support management with timely financial information.

Responsibilities
Oversee all accounting systems and functions, including Payroll (UKG), General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (A/P), Accounts Receivable (A/R), and Budgeting
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
Manage month-end and year-end close processes within established deadlines
Develop and maintain company budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections
Oversee timekeeping compliance and process bi-weekly payrolls, including 941s, W-2s, and UKG transfers
Ensure timely and accurate vendor and subcontractor payments and accounts receivable collections
Prepare and post journal entries, review trial balances, and reconcile GL accounts
Assist with the maintenance of company budgets and forecasts
Ensure compliance with GAAP, FAR, DFAR, DCAA, DOL, CAS, and other regulatory requirements
Support audits with independent auditors, tax professionals, and regulatory agencies
Develop, implement, and maintain accounting-related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Supervise and mentor accounting staff, promoting professional development and operational excellence
Lead initiatives to strengthen financial reporting, transparency, and organizational accountability
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
7–10 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role
Strong knowledge of GAAP and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)
Proven experience preparing financial statements and budgets
Familiarity with contract types such as CPFF, IDIQ, FFP, and T&M
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (pivot tables and advanced formulas)
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Demonstrated leadership and staff development experience
Preferred
CPA or CMA certification preferred
Experience with Deltek Costpoint or equivalent ERP system
Experience with WAWF and GSA Assist preferred
