Responsibilities

Process FOIL requests, subpoenas, court orders, and law-enforcement inquiries

Review records for responsiveness and lawful redaction (first-level review emphasis)

Perform eDiscovery tasks, including review and redaction of electronically maintained records

Draft acknowledgments, notices, and related correspondence

Review authorizations, releases, and proofs of identification involving sensitive records

Conduct legal research and draft memoranda related to discovery or litigation

Support subpoena intake, monitoring, service acceptance, and tracking

Maintain organized case files, databases, and contemporaneous notes

Participate in internal unit meetings and assist with high-volume workstreams

Engage with external parties as needed for clarification or inquiry screening

May assist with witness preparation or limited court appearances on an as-needed basis
