Responsibilities

Manage all phases of civil defense litigation, from initial case evaluation through trial and appeal

Draft and argue motions, including dispositive motions

Conduct and defend depositions

Handle written discovery and case strategy development

Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation

Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court

Qualification

Civil defense litigationJuris Doctor (JD)Legal writingOral advocacyTrial experience

Required

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Active license and good standing with the Nebraska Bar (or ability to obtain promptly)

Approximately 5 years of civil defense litigation experience

Strong legal writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills

Experience handling cases with a high degree of autonomy

Preferred

Trial experience is a plus
