Responsibilities

Negotiate, draft and review an extensive range of contracts for assigned business unit or area
Review marketing collateral, educational materials, and promotional materials for compliance with all applicable laws and policies
Counsel and advise on general corporate legal matters within assigned business unit or area
Ensure compliance with Align’s contract management process and other company policies and procedures
Conduct legal research and assist in other legal matters as and when needed

Required

Top academic credentials from a leading U.S law school with a JD/Law degree and appropriate licensure to practice in at least one U.S. state
2+ years of experience as a lawyer, preferably with legal experience in medical technologies, pharmaceuticals or other life science business at a law firm, in-house, or combination of both
Experience with and strong working knowledge of applicable commercial legal principles and the ability to frame, draft, and negotiate agreements
Superior drafting skills are important to this role
Experience reviewing marketing collateral, pricing and promotional materials for compliance with antitrust, anti-kickback and other applicable laws
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and on diverse matters simultaneously
Ability to think strategically, remain agile in the face of constant change, and find proactive and practical solutions
Ability to remain highly organized and able to thrive in a fast-moving, complex environment
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
The ability to be persuasive while ensuring a positive customer and/or partner experience
Possess a sense of humor and positive attitude
Strong work ethic with a commitment to ensure that all deadlines are met on time and with a high degree of quality
