Associate or Full Professor of Psychology & Director of Undergraduate Programs
The University of Rhode Island is seeking a tenured professor to serve as Director of Undergraduate Programs in the Department of Psychology. The role involves providing leadership for undergraduate programming, conducting relevant research, teaching courses, mentoring students, and promoting diversity within the program.

Lead undergraduate program: Working collaboratively with College and Department leadership – plan, develop, and evaluate curriculum; coordinate course staffing
Research: Conduct educationally relevant psychology research and scholarship
Teach: Undergraduate and graduate courses in your area of expertise
Mentor students: Supervise undergraduate research and provide professional development
Service: Participate in department, college, and university committees
Promote diversity: Support equity and inclusion in all activities
Qualification
Required
A Ph.D. in Psychology or related field
Qualified for Associate of Full Professor rank
A track record of educationally relevant research/scholarship
Demonstrated strong undergraduate teaching record
Demonstrated leadership experience with undergraduate programs
Demonstrated commitment to student mentoring and DEI principles
Demonstrated excellence in oral communication skills
Demonstrated excellence in written communication skills
Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups/populations
