Sr. Principal Scientist - Standardized Organoid Modeling

Responsibilities
Initiates, directs and executes all pre-clinical scientific research and/or development strategies in research and/or development
Exercises independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Expert knowledge of scientific principles and concepts. Reputation as emerging leader in field with sustained performance and accomplishment
Investigates the feasibility of applying a wide variety of scientific principles and concepts to potential inventions, products and problems
Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience; will direct the work of other staff members
Exercises latitude in determining objectives and approaches to critical assignments. Expert knowledge of scientific principles and concepts. Reputation as emerging leader in field with sustained performance and accomplishment
Maintains broad knowledge of state-of-the-art principles and theories
Makes major contributions to scientific literature and conferences
Implementation of solutions often requires a long-term view and considers multiple perspectives and future impact
Solves unique and complex problems that have a broad impact on the business
May act as spokesperson on corporate research and development and advise top management
May participate in development of patent applications
Interfaces with various departments and serves as internal consultant
Accountable for meeting own target which will impact the discipline
Qualification
Required
Possession of a PhD degree from an accredited college or university according to the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). Foreign degrees must be evaluated for U.S. equivalency
In addition to the education requirement, must have 10 years of direct experience in organoid or stem cell biology
Strong evidence of previous scientific mentoring and laboratory leadership
Must possess basic Microsoft Office skills
Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance
Preferred
Has directed the pre-clinical research efforts of other scientists in organoid or stem cell research
