New Grad, Entry LevelThe Oklahoma Indigent Defense System is seeking a Victims Compensation Clerk to assist victims in submitting compensation claims and appealing board decisions. This role involves informing victims of their rights under Oklahoma Law and assisting with court-related processes.
Law Practice
Responsibilities
Inform victims of their rights under Oklahoma Law, notify victims and/or witness of the status of their court cases, and claims including scheduled court dates, changes in dates and the disposition of the case
Assist with assigned prosecutor in seeing that the witnesses appear in court as needed
Qualification
Required
Must possess basic secretarial skills: typing, word processing, spelling, grammar, math and computer experience
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge of Word
Must be professional in work ethic with the public, law enforcement agencies, lawyers and court officials
Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards
Must have the ability to walk and carry items for short distances
This position requires that the individual can lift a minimum of 20lbs
