Responsibilities

Design & Launch Enterprise Risk Management (ERM): Establish and operationalize the entire Risk Management Framework from the ground up, defining governance, policy, and accountability across the JV
Drive Strategic Risk Integration: Serve as the SME and strategic advisor to leadership, proactively embedding risk considerations directly into core business processes (e.g., project planning, finance, and decision-making)
Proactive Risk Intelligence: Partner with technical and operational leaders to systematically identify, access, and prioritize strategic, operational, financial, and compliance risks in a dynamic, high technology environment
Cross-Cultural Synthesis: Navigate and unify the risk perspectives of two major organizations (Rivian and VW Group) to build a single, future-proof risk strategy for RV Tech
Champion Risk Culture: Build organizational capability by driving a risk-aware culture through targeted coaching, training, and robust Key Risk Indicator reporting

Required

5+ years of progressive experience in Risk Management, with a focus on designing, implementing, and operationalizing comprehensive Enterprise Risk Management frameworks in dynamic, high-technology environments
Demonstrated expertise in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks across multiple domains: strategic, operational, financial, safety, and compliance (e.g., ISO, regulatory standards)
Proficiency in data analysis and risk assessment methodologies
Organizational, project management, strategic and operational planning skills with a deadline-centric and action-oriented mindset
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills and ability to successfully work with all levels of the organization
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on consciousness, clarity, and responsiveness
Ability to navigate and synthesize risk perspectives from two major global organizations (Rivian and Volkswagen Group) to create a unified, future-proof risk strategy
Creative and solution oriented - willingness to come up with new ways to enable the risk program to be more effective
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. finance, business, economics, law)
Ability to travel, as required

Preferred

Advanced degree preferred
Experience in automotive, software, or tech sector preferred
