Sr. Director of Compliance DoIT Technology Chief
The State of Maryland's Department of Information Technology (DoIT) is responsible for providing support to state agencies and ensuring compliance with IT policies. The Sr. Director of Compliance will oversee the development and maintenance of compliance programs, manage audits, and ensure that state agencies adhere to established IT policies and regulations.

Responsibilities
Coordinating the development, implementation and maintenance of policies and procedures across DoIT
Implementing an internal and external audit and monitoring program, to include the conduction of audits and systemic monitoring
Procurement compliance
Third party compliance with vendor contracts
Coordination, preparation, and implementation of external, independent, State and federal audits, and monitoring of implementation of corrective action/risk mitigation plans
Oversight of the State’s privacy program
Ensure that any state agency that falls under DoIT’s jurisdiction for IT services, is staying compliant with their approved/established IT policies, OLA audit findings and responses and training of staff in all DoIT Security IT policies as well as state and federal security policies and best practices
Qualification
Required
Five years experience creating and managing an IT compliance program for a large organization or state/federal government entity
Experience with financial and IT compliance audits
Two of the five years needs to be in a supervisory role overseeing other compliance/audit staff
Preferred
Most recent job experience is (or was) with the US Federal Government or Maryland State Government, defined as AT LEAST ONE of the below: Currently employed with the US Federal Government; Separated from the US Federal Government after January 15, 2025, with or without other employment since; Currently employed with the Maryland State Government
