Finance/Budget Analyst I

Responsibilities

Prepare and manage daily financial transactions, including recording sales, invoicing customers, and administering deposits within your assigned cost centers
Verify and approve financial transactions, ensuring the validity of transactions, accuracy of coding, and compliance with budgetary guidelines
Deliver exceptional customer service and support the team, internal departments, and external customers
Conduct reconciliations between various systems to ensure data accuracy and assist in preparing financial reporting and analysis
Create and maintain business process documentation and evaluate current policies, processes, and systems to identify and implement opportunities for optimizing university resources

Required

Bachelor's degree and 0+ years of relevant experience. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6)
Position requires a valid Class E driver's license

Preferred

One (1) year of experience in accounting or finance preferred
The ability to operate in multiple systems simultaneously and familiarity with Workday or a similar financial system is preferred
Proficiency in financial analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, charts, and macros
Demonstrated critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a proven track record of collaborating with leaders to resolve financial issues
Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and a strong ability to maintain confidentiality
Proficient in applying logic and reasoning to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of various solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
Degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
