Responsibilities
Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of site quality management systems (QMS) in alignment with Syensqo and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 9001/AS9100, NADCAP)
Drive continuous improvement projects focused on quality, efficiency, and risk mitigation
Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) processes for non-conformances and customer complaints
Conduct internal and external audits; support regulatory and customer audits as required
Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to ensure robust product and process quality
Develop and deliver quality training to employees at all levels
Support new product introductions and process changes from a quality perspective
Maintain documentation and records in accordance with company and regulatory standards
Serve as a mentor and technical resource to junior engineers and quality team members
Responsible for leading the Anaheim sites’ QMS and audit preparation for quality
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical field; advanced degree preferred
Minimum 5 years of experience in quality engineering or quality systems, preferably in the specialty chemicals or advanced materials industry
In-depth knowledge of quality management systems and standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949, GMP)
Proven experience with root cause analysis, CAPA, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean)
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
Preferred
Certification in quality engineering (CQE), auditing (CQA), or Six Sigma is a plus
