Responsibilities
Manage all discipline aspects of projects from inception through execution
Develop and document scope of work
Size and specify instrumentation including pressure and temperature transmitters, flow meters, modulating control valves, regulators, on/off valves, and actuators
Create datasheets and collaborate with vendors to obtain quotes for instrumentation and valves
Coordinate with process engineering team to select appropriate devices
Create schematics, termination drawings, and loop sheets for instrument wiring
Design custom control panels to meet project needs
Understand project success criteria and ensure client expectations are met
Develop and track project costs
Identify, document, and communicate scope changes
Address client issues and needs promptly and effectively
Ensure value is delivered to the client and build strong relationships
Review and manage all project deliverables
Coordinate and supervise project implementation, control costs, monitor progress, and ensure quality
Qualification
Required
B.S. degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
10+ years of related experience in project engineering, preferably with EPC or engineering firm experience
Extensive experience as an Instrumentation Engineer on major capital projects from study phase through detailed design, construction support, checkout, and start-up
Proven ability to oversee project execution and ensure client satisfaction
Demonstrated success in managing projects within budget and schedule
Knowledge of front-end engineering and detailed engineering processes
Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain client relationships
Working knowledge of AutoCAD
Preferred
PLC programming experience is a plus
