Responsibilities
On-Site Equipment Maintenance and Repair
Travel to customer locations to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair RMS Roller-Grinder equipment
Execute preventive maintenance routines to ensure optimal performance and longevity of machinery
Collaborate with customers to understand their unique needs and provide tailored solutions
Be the frontline responder to equipment breakdowns, ensuring minimal downtime for our valued customers
Utilize your technical expertise to quickly identify and resolve issues, getting our customers back to peak production efficiency
Conduct comprehensive training sessions for customers on the operation and maintenance of RMS Roller-Grinder equipment
Share best practices, tips, and insights to enhance customers' understanding and maximize the efficiency of their machinery
Foster strong relationships with clients by providing exceptional service and demonstrating a commitment to their success
Act as a brand ambassador, representing RMS Roller-Grinder with professionalism and dedication
Maintain detailed service records, documenting all interactions, solutions implemented, and recommendations for future improvements
Provide regular updates to the service team and management, contributing to the continuous improvement of our products and services
Qualification
Required
Field service experience (or is willing & excited to learn)
Passion to travel consistently; working 3-4 consecutive days a week and staying out 2-3 nights a week
Self-motivated and can see & anticipate what needs to be completed
Strong mechanical aptitude and a knack for taking apart and properly reassembling equipment
Diagnostic and problem-solving skills to determine the root cause of an issue and come up with solutions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally and effectively with customers
Customer-focused mindset to assist customers in breakdown situations and getting them operational in a timely fashion
Growth mindset that is willing to learn and help in other areas within the company
Ownership mindset, ensuring they have the right parts, tools, & equipment for the job while keeping their truck and work sites organized
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to obtain DOT compliance within 90 days of employment
Has or can obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
Preferred
Previous experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, and/or fabrication
