Senior Pega Developer (Remote Opportunity)
VetsEZ is seeking a motivated Pega Developer to join their team. The role involves developing and maintaining applications on the Pega platform, collaborating with business analysts and developers to design and implement solutions.

Responsibilities
Develop and maintain applications using the Pega platform to support large-scale IT systems within an Agile SAFe delivery team
Complete Pega development stories and tasks within sprint timelines, participating in Epic, Story, and Task elaboration activities
Collaborate with solution architects and business analysts to ensure architectural compliance, security requirements, and adherence to development standards
Provide mentorship, training, and code reviews to junior developers to strengthen team capabilities
Support continuous integration efforts by developing scripts, creating CI/CD pipelines, automating workflows, and maintaining infrastructure
Test, debug, and monitor application performance using Pega tools such as performance monitors, database traces, and logging/alerting mechanisms
Ensure compliance with government policies, privacy standards, and Section 508 accessibility requirements
Integrate databases, legacy systems, and external services to streamline workflows and deliver seamless solutions
Engage with stakeholders and clients to present solutions, gather feedback, and support ongoing improvements
Contribute to team objectives and take on additional responsibilities as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline
7+ years of hands-on experience developing applications using Pega PRPC v7.x or v8.x, including case management
3+ years of Java development experience with strong object-oriented design and troubleshooting skills
Deep understanding of Pega architecture, Direct Capture of Objectives (DCO), and full PRPC implementation lifecycles
Experience with Pega rules and features including Flows, Activities, User Interfaces, Agents, SLAs, and Connectors
Experience integrating systems using REST and SOAP APIs
Knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle or MySQL
Familiarity with Kubernetes, container orchestration tools, and CI/CD pipelines for Pega deployments
Strong communication and collaboration skills when working with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Ability to work effectively in Agile, cross-functional team environments
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and compliance standards
Preferred
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
Lead System Architect (LSA) certification preferred
Experience with Pega Healthcare Foundation framework is a plus
Experience with Pega Cloud, public cloud platforms, or Pega Deployment Manager is a plus
Prior experience supporting federal government programs is a plus
Pega Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) or higher certification required
