Principal / Sr. Principal Capacity Modeling Industrial Engineer
Northrop Grumman is a leader in technological advancements and is currently seeking a Principal/Sr. Principal Capacity Modeling Industrial Engineer to support various programs under Advanced Weapons Systems. The role involves utilizing capacity modeling software and industrial engineering fundamentals to deliver innovative solutions and ensure producibility and capacity meet program targets.

Responsibilities
Capable in working in a fast-paced environment
Lead and/or supports key operational excellence plans for the site
Develops and maintains capacity model using FlexSim or ProModel for a mixed-model production environment with frequent product introductions (equipment and labor)
Manage KPI’s within a digital environment
Experience with MES Production System
Develops and maintains plant layout to support growth and equipment changes
Conducts work measurement studies to establish operational and production standards
Develops and implements operations KPI reporting metrics
Provides input for identification and planning of department goals and budget, development, standardization, and implementation of initiatives intended to improve the quality, cost and delivery performance
Supports productivity, quality, process efficiency, space utilization, standardization and lead time improvement efforts
Digital Transformation support
Provides production layout, operations, and planning support for new product introduction
Qualification
Required
5 years with Bachelor's in Science or Industrial Engineering or Business Management; 3 years with Masters in related; 1 years with PhD
Experience with Capacity Modeling: FlexSim or ProModel
Experience with one or more of the following: CostPoint, MEs, SAP, AutoCAD
Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including macro development and data mining/manipulation tools for enhanced data value
Strong analytical and data management skills
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
Ability to obtain Government SECRET security clearance (US Citizenship Required)
8 years with Bachelor's in Science or Industrial Engineering or Business Management; 6 years with Masters in related; 4 years with PhD
Experience with Capacity Modeling: FlexSim or ProModel
Experience with one or more of the following: CostPoint, MEs, SAP, AutoCAD
Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including macro development and data mining/manipulation tools for enhanced data value
Strong analytical and data management skills
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills

Preferred
Active SECRET clearance
Experience in the Semi-Conductor Industry
LEAN Six Sigma certification and LEAN Six Sigma implementation experience
