Desktop Support Specialist
UF Information Technology (UFIT) is currently seeking an entry-level Desktop Support Specialist to join Academic Technology, a unit within UFIT. The role involves assisting end users with IT support, troubleshooting software issues, and managing equipment installation and maintenance.

Responsibilities
Assists end users with getting set up on supported equipment and software
Assist with inventory
Familiarizing end-users with how to use the equipment and software
Assists end users with resolving software issues pertaining to supported software
Installs and moves computers, printers, and other end-user technology devices, including installing designated system images and application software
Troubleshoots and resolves entry-level problems and provides entry-level maintenance for computers, printers, and other end-user technology devices
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree; or a high school diploma or equivalent and two years of relevant experience
Valid driver's license
Preferred
Knowledge of various current OS environments
Experience providing direct customer support
Troubleshooting basic hardware and software, operating systems and utilities, and Internet client/server software
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Suite, G Suite, Dropbox, and other software used across campus
