Responsibilities

Prepare engineering designs and/or technical data

Perform and oversee the work and productivity on assigned projects

Manage the preparation of construction documents (drawings, specifications, estimates, etc.)

Perform structural inspection and prepare reports, letters, etc

Participate in formulating and coordinating proposals and provide other marketing support, including business development

Prepare effective work plans and man-hour budgets

Monitor time schedules and capital cost budgets on projects

Strive to achieve predetermined goals for profit, productivity targets, and schedule of deliverables

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering is required

3+ years of structural engineering experience is required

Engineer in Training (EIT) certification is required

Good working knowledge of steel, concrete, timber design and a familiarity with applicable codes (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, etc.)

Competent or proficient in AutoCAD

Proficient with structural design software (STAAD, Enercalc, etc.)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary to effectively communicate

Must be an effective communicator with the ability to work with multiple discipline teams

Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions

Preferred

PE license is preferred
