Financial Analyst III
State of Utah is seeking to hire a Financial Analyst III to perform high-level accounting tasks within the UDC Finance Bureau. The role involves managing accounts payable and receivable, financial reporting, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with state policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
Manage accounting or budget activities and provides fiscal information
Research and review financial records, schedules, reports, and/or problem areas
Interpret fiscal statements and reports
Reconcile statements and reports
Review financial transactions and entries to ensure integrity, accuracy and control of data
Analyze, summarize and review data; reports findings, interprets results and/or makes recommendations
Design, improve, or implement systems and/or subsystems that reflect the agency needs
Identify data and information which suggest developing patterns of problems or complaints, from which general or specific trends and patterns can be discerned, suggesting a need for further investigation
Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines, etc
Qualification
Required
Ability to prepare financial reports and documentation
Knowledge of principles, theories, and practices of budget management
Knowledge in fiscal/financial management
Knowledgeable in applicable laws, rules, regulations and/or policies and procedures
Skilled in using logic to analyze or identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts associated with information or data to draw conclusions
Skilled in making a decision or solve a problem by using logic to identify key facts, explore alternatives, and propose quality solutions
Ability to speak clearly, concisely and effectively; listen to, and understand, information and ideas as presented verbally
Ability to communicate information and ideas clearly, and concisely, in writing; read and understand information presented in writing
Skilled in the use of State or agency-specific software application program(s)
Knowledge in agency policy, professional and/or industry standards and practices
Ability to compose and produce reports, documents and related material
Ability to find, gather and collect information or data
Knowledge in developing approaches for implementation of an idea, program or change in operations
Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures
Ability to develop and/or implement new policies/procedures/standards and/or rules/regulations
Preferred
Preference maybe given to those applicants who have a degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
Preference may also be given to those who have experience with FINET
