Pape' Kenworth is a premier medium and heavy-duty truck and equipment dealer in the West, seeking an Experienced Truck Technician to join their team. The role involves maintaining and repairing medium and heavy-duty Class 7 & 8 trucks, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, and ensuring optimal performance of the vehicles.

Responsibilities

Maintaining and repairing medium and heavy-duty Class 7 & 8 trucks

Diagnosing and troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical issues

Identifying the best solutions to restore each truck to peak performance

Repairing or rebuilding major components such as cabs, steering systems, engines, transmissions, axles, differentials, brakes, clutches, electrical systems, and air systems

Required

2 or more years of experience working on all makes and models of medium and heavy-duty class 7/8 trucks, including engine repair, electronic trouble-shooting, HVAC systems, and chassis repair

Will also accept candidates with a Diesel tech degree and a mechanical aptitude/background

Basic computer knowledge

Self-motivation and assertiveness

Ability to work under little or no supervision

Excellent communication and customer relations skills

Must provide own tools

Preferred

Kenworth Essentials certifications preferred

Cummins and MX software experience preferred
