Intern, Technical High School Year-Round - Monitoring Systems Technology Intern Center (MSTIC), Onsite
Sandia National Laboratories is the nation’s premier science and engineering lab for national security and technology innovation. The Monitoring Systems and Technology Intern Center (MSTIC) program is seeking outstanding Junior or Senior High School students to join project teams in designing, developing, and delivering advanced data processing and exploitation software for complex, real-time analysis systems.

Responsibilities
Demonstrate knowledge of technical principles and processes
Understanding of and demonstrated use a variety of research tools
Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to contribute in a team environment
Demonstrated knowledge of project management
Extensive knowledge of a suite of software, including Microsoft Office
Qualification
Required
Attending a local high school
Enrolled full time, as defined by the school
Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0
Ability to work up to 25 hours per week during the academic year, and up to 40 hours per week during the summer
Minimum 16 years of age
U.S. citizens, legal permanent residents, asylees or refugees in the U.S
Preferred
Working knowledge and understanding of an engineering or science-related field
Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5/4.0
