Responsibilities

Analyze & Design Solutions: Assess business and information needs to design IT systems that improve efficiency and workflow
Configure & Implement: Set up and deploy business systems and applications to meet operational requirements
Maintain & Support: Ensure systems remain reliable through ongoing maintenance and technical support
Test & Validate: Conduct thorough testing to guarantee system functionality and performance
Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with business units and IT partners to deliver integrated solutions
Analyzes basic business problems to be solved with automated systems
Conducts data gathering and analysis to understand business strategy requirements
Participates in the elicitation, documentation, analysis, and validation of business processes, systems, and solution requirements
Assists in creating specifications for systems to meet business requirements
Provides assistance in documenting current business processes and models
Assists in identifying and evaluating systems and procedures that are cost effective, efficient, reliable, and meet user requirements
Executes unit integration and acceptance testing

Required

Bachelors' degree in Information Technology or related field
PLUS one (1) year of prior relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and directly related experience for IT Business Technical Analyst I
Requires basic technical subject matter knowledge within a job area or system for IT Business Technical Analyst I
Bachelors' degree in Information Technology or related field
PLUS two (2) year of prior relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and directly related experience for IT Business Technical Analyst II
Requires working technical knowledge gained through experience within a job area or system for IT Business Technical Analyst II
Experience with configuring, implementing, and supporting business systems and IT solutions
Strong ability to analyze complex business processes and translate them into technical requirements
Skilled at troubleshooting and resolving system issues quickly and effectively
Excellent communication skills to work across business and IT teams
Adaptable and eager to stay current with emerging technologies and best practices

Preferred

Skill in assessing business requirements via interviews, requirements determination using structured techniques for documentation, analysis, evaluation/validation; decomposition of high-level information into details; abstracting low-level information; distinguishing requests vs needs; distinguishing requirements vs. solutions; classifying/ prioritizing requirements; OO techniques using UML models; ambiguity analysis, ensuring consistent understanding across users, designers and testers; business process modeling of current state and desired/future state processes; defining and managing scope and client expectations, requirements change management and traceability; identifying and mitigating risks; applying creativity to solving complex problems
Ability to advocate technology changes that provide value and support APS business goals; meet commitments; foster relationships amongst the business leaders; adapt to technology changes; put systems and procedures in place to assure that all relevant information is shared consistently; organize, prioritize, and plan work activities
Apply creative solutions to business problems to ensure business needs are most effectively met; understand and anticipate needs and priorities of both internal and external stakeholders; demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations and streamline work processes
