Lockheed Martin is involved in the F-35 program, a large international initiative focused on the design, manufacturing, operation, and sustainment of the F-35 air system. They are seeking a Systems Engineer Level 2 to apply engineering techniques and analytical methods to determine export/import commodity jurisdictions, collaborating with various stakeholders to obtain and maintain export authorizations.

Responsibilities

J&C engineer executes technical processes of determining the export classification (USML or CCL) of F-35 aircraft hardware, which is a critical enabler for export/import of shippable parts and tooling for F-35 Development, Production, and Sustainment business units

Coordinates with other engineering SMEs, supply chain management, and/or Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) to understand hardware: form, fit, function, and any other system-related knowledge required to perform the J&C determination

Collaborate with ECC Export Portfolio Lead and other ECC team members and stakeholders on work assignments/projects

Work with internal and external export authorization customers, users, and stakeholders in developing the required export authorization coverage for air system deliverables

Experience with JSF Data Library (JDL), Product Data Manager (PDM), Logistics Data Manager (LDM), Advanced Technical Logistics Application System (ATLAS), Parts Classification & Management system (PCM)

Project Management and/or Systems Engineering Experience

Current DoD security clearance
