Papé Group is a premier capital equipment dealer in the West, seeking a Field Mechanic to join their team in Salem, OR. The role involves diagnosing and repairing agriculture equipment at customer locations, ensuring timely repairs and maximizing equipment uptime.

Responsibilities

Work on agriculture equipment at customer locations ensuring that equipment repairs are done accurately, timely, and the customer’s equipment is running in peak form

Analyzing and diagnosing agriculture equipment malfunctions or failures in the field

Repair, replace or rebuild engines, transmissions, carburetors, final drives, steering, clutches, cross shafts, hydraulic components including pump motors, valves, and all related components, electrical systems, and air systems

Welding and fabrication work will also be required at times

Required

3 or more years of experience diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment, preferably Agriculture equipment

Basic computer knowledge

Self-motivation

Ability to work under little or no supervision

Excellent communication and customer relations skills

Driver's license with a good driving record

Must provide own tools
