Responsibilities
Champion quality, speed, and collaboration in a dynamic acute care hospital
Lead a skilled team of Clinical Laboratory Scientists, MLTs, and Phlebotomists across Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Microbiology, and Transfusion Services
Drive competency, scheduling, validations, QC/QA, and readiness for CLIA, CAP, Joint Commission, AABB, and CDPH inspections
Partner with nurses and a diverse interprofessional team in the ED, ICU, OR, Oncology, and Women’s Services
Collaborate closely with IT, Supply Chain, and Biomed
Mentor new team members and optimize point-of-care programs
Lead performance improvement initiatives that elevate patient-centered laboratory medicine
Qualification
Required
Lead Clinical Laboratory Scientist CLS
champion quality, speed, and collaboration
experience in a dynamic acute care hospital
knowledge of total automation, advanced middleware, robust LIS/EMR integration, digital solutions, and ISO-aligned quality systems
experience with CAP-level standards, AABB-supported transfusion services, molecular and microbiology platforms including PCR and MALDI-TOF
experience with LEAN/Six Sigma process improvements
ability to drive competency, scheduling, validations, QC/QA, and readiness for CLIA, CAP, Joint Commission, AABB, and CDPH inspections
lead a skilled team of Clinical Laboratory Scientists, MLTs, and Phlebotomists across various laboratory disciplines
collaborate with IT, Supply Chain, and Biomed
