Harris County is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Voter Compliance Research Deputy Specialist I to join their Tax Assessor-Collector’s Office. The role involves conducting detailed record research, proofreading for accuracy, and verifying signatures to ensure compliance with voter registration processes.

Government Administration

Responsibilities

Research the status of all records
Research and verify all documentation within each record
Research additional sources as needed
Proofread and identify discrepancies to ensure data-entry accuracy across all applications
Perform other duties as assigned

Required

High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited U.S. institution
Minimum of one (1) year of clerical experience in an office setting, including customer service experience in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional attendance and punctuality
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Proven desire to excel at job tasks
Excellent computer skills required
Excellent reading comprehension and verbal/written communication skills
Always maintains a professional attitude and appearance
Ability to work overtime without prior notification
Ability to read and detect errors on reports
Ability to learn and retain large amounts of information
Ability to manage multiple assignments and prioritize time
Ability to take direction and work under supervision
Ability to work independently and function effectively in a team-oriented environment
