Associate - Liability & Excess Coverage

Responsibilities

Analyze rights and obligations under insurance policies, draft coverage opinions, and provide coverage advice to clients
Conduct legal research, analyze findings, and draft memoranda
Prepare and analyze pleadings, discovery, motions, supporting briefs, and legal correspondence regarding insurance coverage litigation
Meet and confer with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties
Attend depositions, hearings, and mediations
Take a proactive role in managing matters, deadlines, and communication with clients

Required

3-9 years of experience in insurance coverage and coverage litigation
Excellent academic credentials
Admitted to practice in California
Excellent legal research, writing, and oral communication skills
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to simultaneously handle sensitive and time-sensitive matters
Effective problem-solving skills
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
