Senior Living Residences is seeking a Programming Assistant to support the Program Director in creating, scheduling, and implementing therapeutic programs for memory care residents. The role involves building relationships with residents, coordinating entertainment, and assisting with educational sessions for families and staff.

Responsibilities

Form meaningful relationships with residents and families

Help implement and coordinate the balanced daily therapeutic programming schedule for 7 days per week

Support with coordination of entertainment including guest lecturers, musicians, and fitness instructors

Participate in scheduled outings, ensuring safety of residents on transportation and off-site

Assist with support group and educational sessions for families and staff

Support with developing monthly newsletter, taking photos, and updating social media

Qualification

Therapeutic RecreationElderlyEducation in related fieldPunctualityCommunication

Required

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Education, Social Work, or related field preferred

Must have 1+ years experience working with elderly and/or Alzheimer's populations

Standing, sitting, bending, and transferring residents (with and without assistance)

An ability to communicate effectively with residents and co-workers
