Survey Technician II (TEMP)
The University of Michigan is seeking a School Recruitment Specialist to connect with schools nationwide and encourage their participation in the Monitoring the Future study. This role involves building relationships with school administrators and conducting outreach to promote adolescent substance use research.

Responsibilities
Contact school principals and administrators nationwide to encourage participation in the MTF survey
Conduct persuasive outreach via cold calls, emails, and follow-ups
Manage a caseload of 50+ schools
Cultivate strong, ongoing relationships with school contacts
Craft compelling materials and messages to showcase the impact and benefit of MTF participation
Enter detailed communication notes in a database/CRM system
Accurately document outreach activities and progress
Stay up-to-date on relevant trends in education and substance use prevention to inform outreach
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or Associate degree
2+ years experience in recruitment, sales, public relations or school administration
1+ years direct outreach (phone/email) to stakeholders
Persuasive communicator with a track record of converting prospects
Relationship-builder comfortable with diverse audiences
Experience with CRM/databases; proficiency in Google Workspace, MS Office, Zoom
Preferred
5+ years in school administration (esp. as principal), or strong experience working with K-12 organizations
Experience in survey administration or research
Proven success overcoming objections in outreach/sales
Strategic thinker with creative recruitment ideas
