Responsibilities
Manage contractual compliance; negotiate with external clients and vendors to resolve contractual deadlocks
Approve and issue memos; prepare memos on complex regulatory issues; independently liaise with external counsel as required
Issue briefing notes to internal stakeholders; execute litigation strategy; independently instruct external counsel in the handling of contentious matters
Influence and guide policy making for protection and commercialization; track and analyze the impact of changes and developments in the law
Develop and manage relationships with equivalent level attorneys of peer group companies and external law firms
Identify needs with respect to personnel and external law firms for their defined geographical area
Approve due diligence reports and issue legal memos; instruct external counsel and intermediaries
Advise middle management on general legal matters; clarify queries related to internal policies
Qualification
Required
Minimum of a bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education
At least 16 years of relevant legal contract management experience

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended period of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face
