Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience/training in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration, or in a related area
Advanced level experience analyzing and working with complex financial data in automated financial systems, performing complex spreadsheet analyses, formulating complex reports, and performing financial analysis, forecasting, budget preparation, and/or strategic planning in a university/governmental setting
Experience developing rate structures and applying cost accounting principles to budgeting, rate development, and financial reporting
Advanced experience performing pre and post-award grants management activities, and advanced knowledge of federal, state and private compliance regulations governing grant budgeting, financial reporting, cost-sharing standards, cost allocation, effort reporting, and policies regarding use of grant funds
Project management skills to independently and proficiently assume responsibility for coordination and completion of complex projects requiring interaction and coordination with internal and external stakeholders
Advanced knowledge of University policies and procedures in administrative matters, in-depth knowledge of principles, policies, and procedures as they relate to financial/budgetary matters in the higher education setting
Critical thinking, analytical and creative problem-solving skills to independently research, develop, and recommend solutions to complex problems and issues

Preferred

Extensive experience in financial and business management, and business process improvement in a self-supporting organization
Experience with UC Davis purchasing, facilities, contracts, and accounting policies and procedures
Experience with Aggie Enterprise, ERS, DS, UC Path, TRS, and Cayuse SP
Knowledge of automated accounting system design, approval workflows, and role provisioning
Knowledge of client case reporting, quality system requirements, and laboratory information management system design and functionality
