The California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) is seeking a Licensing and Certification Analyst to join their team. This role involves the independent performance of complex analytical assignments related to substance use disorder programs, including monitoring compliance with state regulations and standards, and requires substantial statewide travel.

Monitor a caseload of substance use disorder (SUD) programs

Ensure compliance with California Code of Regulations (CCR), Title 9, and the AOD Certification Standards

Conduct site visits and interact with health care partners, providers, or others

Required

The position(s) require(s) a Background Investigation be cleared prior to being hired

Travel required 50% of the time. Position may require overnight travel for up to 4 consecutive nights to meet training requirements

Preferred

Excellent written and oral communication skills. Candidates should be able to compose clear, concise, and effective memos, letters, and analyses

Strong analytical skills. The candidate should be experienced in reviewing and analyzing documents and/or applications for completeness according to policies, procedures and/or regulations

Exceptional time management and organizational skills desired. Candidate would have experience meeting deadlines and managing multiple competing priorities

Competency in using basic office software such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
