The role involves providing senior level systems engineering and analysis support, including combat systems integration, risk management, and technical assessments.

Responsibilities
Providing review and recommendations on combat systems integration technical issues
Conducting risk management and assessments
Conducting predictive Reliability, Maintainability, and Availability (RMA) analyses
Assisting with the organization and management of testing, planning and conducting test events
Reviewing requirements traceability and analysis
Providing technical assessments, evaluations, and analysis on system problems
Assisting with program certification activities
Performing analyses of System Safety Plans, Safety Management Plans, assessment of hardware/ software changes/issues affecting systems safety and the analyses of safety test documentation/plans
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 20 years US Navy surface warfare experience gained while on active duty senior enlisted or officer, serving on carriers, DDGs, CGs, LCS, large deck or smaller amphibious ships, or land based test sites, etc
15-20 years civil service or original equipment manufacturer (OEM) experience
Required specialized experience in such programs as Aegis Combat and Weapon Systems, Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense (ABMD), Ship Self Defense System (SSDS), Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD), NIFC-CA, DDG-1000, Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) or US Coast Guard
Advanced writing and speaking abilities
Two (2) years experience with Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Must have detailed knowledge of combat systems equipment and computer programs
Excellent organizational skills and be able to perform efficiently and effectively on multiple projects under tight deadlines
Strong interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with the BCI team and customers

Applicants will be subjected to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
Preferred
A formal degree supporting systems engineering, software engineering or significant analysis experience
