The Systems Operations Engineer will be responsible for designing and managing enterprise server operations and ensuring system security, reliability, and quality of service delivery.

Education Management

Responsibilities

Designs and manages enterprise server operations

Implements enterprise system security processes

Manages the enterprise server operation, including design, installation, upgrade and replacement

Designs and implements system disaster recovery plans

Creates and maintains system policies and procedures

Ensures change control documentation is complete, accurate and current

Generates weekly and monthly system reports

Performs server audits for local and remote field locations

Monitors and insures system reliability and quality of service delivery

Assists in system acquisition RFP development and assessment

Develops and maintains system related project plans and documentation

Researches and recommends new and emerging system technologies

Works with Network Operations Engineer to ensure reliability of enterprise network

Works directly with Technical Services Administrator for oversight of systems

Consistently models Win-Win leadership

Performs other related duties as assigned

Required

Associate's degree in engineering, computer science or related technical field required

Minimum three years documented experience in enterprise level systems administration required

Demonstrated problem resolution skills in a heterogeneous server environment

Demonstrated proficiency in server and workstation support

Ability to adapt to changing priorities and to assimilate new knowledge quickly and effectively in order to incorporate the products and outgrowths of evolving technologies

Must demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills

Strong teamwork, interpersonal communication and problem solving skills

Demonstrated mental/physical ability and stamina for meeting the essential duties of the position and the ability to travel to and from the intermediate school district and constituent districts as needed

Punctuality and good attendance are requirements for the position

Ability to work a flexible workday, work week, and work year in order to meet the needs of the position, the department and the district

Represents the district in a professional manner at all times
