Weekend Receptionist
The Virginia Department of Veterans Services is seeking a professional receptionist committed to delivering outstanding customer service. This role involves managing front desk operations, providing courteous customer service, and supporting administrative functions in a healthcare environment while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

Responsibilities
Greet residents, visitors, families, and staff in a warm, professional, and respectful manner
Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls accurately and efficiently
Monitor visitor sign-in/sign-out and follow facility security and infection control protocols
Provide general information about the facility while maintaining resident privacy
Receive, sort, and distribute mail, deliveries, and messages
Maintain front desk area to ensure it is clean, organized, and welcoming
Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, copying, faxing, and data entry
Coordinate communication between departments as needed
Respond calmly and appropriately to emergencies and notify appropriate staff
Support resident-centered care by demonstrating compassion and sensitivity to residents and family
Maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and facility policies
Qualification
Required

Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy environment
Must pass a criminal background check
Must be a citizen or national of the U.S., a Lawful Permanent Resident, or an alien authorized to work
Preferred
Experience in a healthcare, nursing home, or assisted living setting preferred
