Sr. Manufacturing Equipment Engineer

The Sr. Manufacturing Equipment Engineer will support the performance and reliability of etch and clean process equipment within semiconductor manufacturing operations, collaborating with senior engineers and various teams to ensure equipment uptime and process stability.

Responsibilities
Support day-to-day operation and maintenance of etch and clean process equipment to meet production, quality, and safety requirements
Assist with troubleshooting equipment issues and participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions
Work with Manufacturing and Process Engineering teams to support yield improvement, defect reduction, and tool performance
Support installation, qualification, and acceptance testing of new equipment and tool upgrades
Help develop and maintain equipment documentation, work instructions, and preventive maintenance procedures
Monitor equipment performance metrics and SPC data with guidance from senior engineers
Follow cleanroom, safety, and environmental protocols at all times
Participate in audits, training, and continuous improvement initiatives
Additional responsibilities as assigned
Qualification
Required
Foundational understanding of engineering principles and semiconductor manufacturing concepts
Basic understanding of data analysis, SPC, and problem-solving methodologies
Ability to learn quickly, follow procedures, and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams
Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
0–7 years of experience in equipment engineering, semiconductor manufacturing, or a related technical field
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or related discipline) or equivalent work experience
Applicants selected for this position will be required to apply for and maintain a Department of Defense Secret Clearance
Only U.S. citizens are eligible to hold DOD Secret Clearance
Preferred
Interest or exposure to etch and clean processes preferred
Internship, co-op, or academic project experience in a manufacturing or cleanroom environment is a plus
Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement concepts is beneficial but not required
