Responsibilities

Assist with the Hiring & Recruitment programs at Salinas Valley State Prison

Qualification

Typing certificate40 WPM typing speedEquitable workplace promotionDiversity celebration

Required

Copy of valid typing certificate meeting the 40 words per minute (WPM) requirement prior to appointment

Ability to type at a minimum speed as designated on the Class Specifications

Possession of Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment

If meeting Minimum Qualifications with education, include unofficial transcripts/diploma for verification

Candidates new to CDCR or the Division of Juvenile Justice are required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting, and Tuberculosis testing prior to appointment

All staff assigned to this post/position may be required to show evidence of full vaccination and booster for COVID-19

Applicants who completed their education outside of the US must obtain and submit verification of U.S. course/degree equivalency

CDCR utilizes E-Verify to confirm candidate's identity and employment authorization

All applicants other than T&D must meet the Minimum Qualifications for the classification
