Clinical Lab Scientist-LIS
Loma Linda University Health is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist-Laboratory Information Systems (CLS-LIS) to support their LIS team in daily operations and project initiatives. This role involves analyzing, designing, configuring, validating, and optimizing laboratory information systems while ensuring seamless integration and user support across all laboratory sites.

Responsibilities
Supports the LIS team in both daily laboratory operations and project-based initiatives
Contributes to the analysis, design, configuration, validation, and optimization of laboratory information systems
Ensures alignment with best practices and seamless integration with upstream and downstream systems
Helps maintain system functionality, troubleshoot technical issues, and improve user experience through training, documentation, and workflow enhancements
Collaborates with laboratory leadership on technical, compliance, and system upgrade projects
Supports instrument interfacing and provides responsive end-user support across all laboratory sites
Performs other duties as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in the life sciences or an equivalent field of study required
California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) Generalist MTA license is required
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or healthcare informatics preferred
Two years of experience working as a clinical laboratory scientist (CLS) in a complex medical laboratory preferred
Experience with Cerner PathNet, laboratory-related solutions, Discern Rules, CCL, front-end configuration tools, and HL7/instrument interfacing preferred
For Clinical Cytogenetics, a California Clinical Cytogeneticist Scientist (CCGS) MTO license is preferred
