Patient Experience Ambassador

This role involves managing front desk responsibilities, guiding families through the intake process, and supporting scheduling to create a friendly and supportive environment for patients.

Responsibilities

Greet families with warmth and professionalism, creating a welcoming and child-friendly environment
Manage patient check-ins and check-outs with accuracy and efficiency
Guide new families through the intake process, collecting and entering demographic, insurance, and consent forms
Answer phones, respond to emails, and provide timely, friendly communication to caregivers and referring providers
Collaborate with the clinical team to support efficient scheduling and clear communication between staff and families
Verify insurance benefits and assist families with questions related to coverage, copays, and authorizations
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the EMR system
Help manage daily clinic flow, troubleshoot minor issues, and ensure families feel seen and supported at every step
Support general office duties such as scanning, filing, supply organization, and light tidying of front desk area
Contribute to a positive team environment aligned with Excel’s mission and values

Required

Previous experience in a medical front desk, patient intake, or customer service role strongly preferred
Passion for working with families and children in a healthcare setting
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Professional, friendly, and empathetic demeanor
Comfortable with technology, including EMR systems, phone systems, and basic office software

Preferred

Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, but not required
