Responsibilities

Monitors and directs subcontractor activities, through the coordination and instruction of subcontractors' management staff within the area of responsibility
Role supports on large projects of high complexity with multiple stakeholders’ involvement
Planning:
Reviews and monitors subcontractor construction schedules, resource charts, and material and equipment requirements
Reviews and approves where necessary, subcontractor construction methods, schedules, manning charts, and material and equipment requirements
Leads the construction operations' impact on external interfaces to ensure they coincide with the overall established schedules
Safety / Quality:
Monitors installation of materials and equipment to assure conformance with drawings, specifications, vendor, and other requirements
Implements and enforces policies, procedures, and related work rules as established by field construction management
Technical:
Works with Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals, in interpreting Engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents
Coordinates engineering solutions with Subcontractors, and Foremen, and Craft Professionals
Coordinates with Design on constructability issues

Required

Contract management experience
Experience in mining and metals
Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications
Excellent communication and problem-solving ability
Working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards
Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience

Preferred

Experience with client direct hire craft preferred
Understanding of applicable client work processes including Standard Work Process Procedures is preferred
Familiarity with client Standard Applications (BSAPs) including ACONEX, TEAMWorks, client Productivity System, PTR, eSub and other automation tools which are used on client projects is an asset
