Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor

Responsibilities

Planning and scheduling all aircraft repair and maintenance activities
Ensuring those activities are performed safely, on-time, and within budget
Ensuring all foreign object inspections and activities are completed
Ensuring projects are properly staffed with qualified employees
Establishing work standards, hours of work and appropriate shifts to accomplish work on small programs
Reviewing maintenance delays and system problems to suggest improvements to maintenance processes and procedures
Ensuring safe and adequate maintenance is performed at all times

Required

B.A. (or equivalent degree) - a higher level degree may substitute for relevant experience
Typically, 4+ years of progressive aviation experience, which includes 0-2+ years of management experience
Familiarity with aviation safety standards, FAA regulations, policies, and procedures and safe operating practices
Basic understanding of Aircraft Maintenance and Inspection processes and procedures and/or returning planes to service
Basic Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)
An active Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
A&P Certificate

Preferred

Previous management or lead experience; the ability to recruit employees; assign, direct, and evaluate their work; and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence
Inspection Authorization, Previous Part 135 or 121 MX management experience
Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant certification and Inspection Authorization (IA) Designation
Knowledge of FAA regulations, policies, and procedures
Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military
