Responsibilities
Managing a project from design to release for customers, monitoring the project from initiation through delivery and program closeout
Developing, defining, and executing project plans, schedules, budgets and deliverables
Identifying needed resources for projects
Interfacing with internal and external customers or field-based employees on technical matters as needed
Managing simple projects typically defined as: studies, small task orders, Internal Research and Development, Level of Effort; services only, spares or projects with minimal deliverables
Tracking progress against milestones, budgetary guidelines, or other performance indicators, and preparing reports to stakeholders
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
Minimum 2+ years of experience in project management and/or in a related or technical field, internships not included in total years of experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software
Demonstrated experience in managing a project
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Strong analytical skills & capability to meet schedules
Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
Preferred
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
Basic understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), or similar tool
Experience with developing budgets and managing projects to those budgets
Experience managing project scope and scope creep during project execution
Experience in resource planning and management during project execution
Experience with risk management planning and documentation
Familiarity with government contracting and regulations
