CNC Machinist

PRL Industries, Inc. is seeking a skilled Machinist (Manual & CNC) to set up and operate manual and CNC milling machines and lathes to produce high-precision components. This role involves machining parts from castings, bar stock, and other materials while maintaining strict quality and tolerance requirements.

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and maintain manual and/or CNC milling machines and lathes
Perform minor CNC program edits using G- and M-codes
Machine components to tolerances as close as ±0.0002 inches
Select appropriate tooling, cutting speeds, feeds, and work-holding methods
Assist with the design, setup, and use of jigs and fixtures
Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical drawings
Measure and inspect parts using precision measuring instruments
Verify job documentation and maintain accurate production and inspection records
Safely operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material-handling equipment as required
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Work independently with minimal supervision to meet production goals
Participate in required safety training and follow all company safety policies

Required

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous machining experience (manual and/or CNC)
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Strong knowledge of shop math, trigonometry, and GD&T
Proficiency using precision measuring and inspection tools
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
