Responsibilities

Install, inspect, maintain, and repair systems according to specifications and codes

Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and efficient completion of projects

Reassemble and test equipment following repairs

Stay updated on industry advancements, technologies, and best practices

Demonstrate proficiency in diagnosing malfunctioning and troubleshooting systems using hand tools and testing equipment to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem

Adjust or replace worn or defective mechanisms and parts, and reassemble repaired systems

Ensure that all work meets regulatory standards, safety protocols, and company service system guidelines

Conduct quality inspections and implement corrective actions as needed

Calculate the cost of service for the customer using flat rate price book and handle money collection from customer

Read blueprints to determine location, size, capacity, and type of components needed to complete the job

Maintain accurate records of work performed, including parts used, time spent, and any additional relevant information

Record and report all faults, deficiencies, and other unusual occurrences, as well as the time and materials expended on work orders

Provide detailed reports to supervisors and clients as required

Work closely with other team members, including apprentices and technicians, to achieve project goals

Communicate effectively with supervisors, project managers, and clients

Receive calls from dispatch and respond to customer service calls

Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to create a secure work environment

Participate in safety training sessions and contribute to a safety-conscious culture

Use trade specific tools in a safe manner

Pursue ongoing education and training opportunities to enhance skills and stay abreast of industry developments
